It is the story of three persons who want to ride during the liberation day in France with Toblerone support! So it is perfect to choose the Vercors for the ride. The weather forecast told the morning should be sunny and rain should arrived in the afternoon at 02:00pm. So, Sabine, Marcel and I, we decided to leave Grenoble at 09:00am for this ride...

Me and Marcel on the bicyle lane...

No problem for the moment, we smile and it is dry...

Another smile please... Ok! Thanks...

Is it going to rain? perhaps yes, perhaps not...

Let's continued and see what happened...

We passed all the cyclists...

...and we were in a hurry to climb in the Vercors...

Marcel is concentrated in cycling, Sabine is smiling...

In Saint Gervais, it is the time to stop for the coffee time. Marcel enjoyed chocolate and Toblerone as well...

For Sabine, Toblerone is another sponsor...

...and for me, Toblerone is a special food dedicated for cycling...

We arrived in Saint Gervais...

Marcel is still concentrated in the ride...

...and Sabine is here...

Now, this is the climb...

In spite of front derailleur problem, Sabine enjoys to discover this road...
- I don't know very well this side of the Vercors, she said...

Now, are we ready for the scenic road?

Sabine would want to catch Marcel...

We are in a short tunnel...

And we stopped... It is magnificient...

...and fantastic...

The road allows Marcel...

...to discover the Nan...
Let's have a look to the river...

I can't change! Always still taking photos...
Let's have a look to the Isere valley...

Now, it is time to continue the climb...

Stop taking photos please! And if it is raining? What would you do here? Have you a rain jacket...

Let's continue in another short tunnel...

No doubt at all, Marcel enjoys the ride...

For Sabine, riding in a tunnel seems to be great...

Sabine and Marcel are riding very fast, the photo is bad...

Suddendly, Sabine wants to catch Marcel..

...and please, another time, the photograph wasn't ready...

Later, we met Francoise... Since one year, she discovers cycling...

...with her husband Serge... Serge rode PBP...

In the climb...

Always smiling in the climb...

...in spite of the rain...

Our heros reached Pas de Près Coquet...

This is like a victory in the Vercors...

Here is our little group...

...and thanks to Serge to have taken the photo...

And the climb continues... After Patente, there is plenty of snow on the road...

This is done! Sabine and Marcel completed the most difficult part of the ride: To climb the Mont Noir... Col du Mont Noir is the highest col where the road is paved...

This is the lone panel...

...and Sabine...

...who is not alone...

...and with another arm, it's better...
Photo taken by Sabine...

Dont't forgot the two other heros: Serge Loaec and Françoise...
If the climb is finished, now the riders are going to descend in the valley. But, to join the valley, they need to pass a tunnel which is not lighten. For this, no problem, Marcel is a Romeyere expert (RE), he has passed this tunnel without lights and knows perfectly how the tunnel is built... The left side should be shorter than the right one...

Here is the entry...

And the riders control their lights... Sabine is ready...

Serge Loaec is riding into the tunnel. It is like on PBP, between Loudeac and Corlay, the road is mainly descending... Huhuhu...

If you want to know what the tunnel looks like...

...and behind the bike...

Serge in the night...

What a beautiful tunnel...

At the exit, Sabine expected to find chocolate in the tunnel... But where ?

Marcel told: Lights are mandatory in the tunnel. I will come back...

Congratulations. All the riders...

...completed the descend as well...

And on the bicycle lane...

...we have to pedal to join Grenoble. Oh, I forgot, the rain stopped...
What a beautiful ride in spite of the weather comedy! We did 111 kilometers for an elevation of 1297 meters of positive climb...
To be done again... Now, we are recover... Thank you...
